To Marcel:
Thank you for such wonderful restoration work, from a remote fan and lurker to the site. Your standards are high and the quality is amazing.
I think I speak for many when I say that the WW&F is extremely lucky to have your expertise and dedication.
I would love to see you tackle any number of other cars, but if you never did, what you have done at this point is great!
That said, you probably have many choices of rotten carcasses to fill with good wood, if you wished. Perhaps you just want to take a random piece of metal and fabricate a brand new wood car around it. I look forward to whatever you chose to do. Thanks again.

Massachusetts' Two Footers / Edaville Boxcars

Here is an interesting photo, a string of about 9 freshly painted boxcars, with about 7 of them featuring the Ocean Spray scheme. Looks like the lettering was made of plywood letters and script, applied to the car sides. I wonder if they were actually used, or were just billboards.

The composition of the second photo with the work flat seems good enough to make a jigsaw puzzle! (minus the cone and work barrier). It's interesting, varied, and has a nice sky.

Good news was posted on the blog for the B&SR. I will quote their announcement of news below:

The largest is that we have received our first building permit from the town of Bridgton! This permit is good for a few hundred feet of track along with a 15' x 40' open are pavilion structure. Additionally we have been given a proper address, our property is now officially 45 Home Run Rd, Bridgton ME, 04009.

They are planning activities throughout the year, which has previously often been to help preservation of B&SR equipment off-site. Other website updates on history are planned.

General Discussion / Laconia car available

There is potential that this is a 2 foot gauge (or 3 foot gauge) discussion, but until then, this is what it is:
A standard gauge Laconia double truck trolley from the Laconia Street Railway is available from Seashore. Not sure, but maybe you can buy it for 10 bucks if you have good plans for it. It has a railroad roof profile, so I thought it might be nicely restored as a narrow gauge coach for some line.

Not exactly new news (posted on their blog last November) this group has now purchased 5.1 acres on Home Run Road. Land is perhaps the most important early step in making a museum!
