You have a 2 year old what?

Cheddar not too bad
Whiskey kind of raw
Bread kind of stale

It took a moment to figure out the joke, ::) then I had a good belly laugh!  ;D
And your right whiskey only two years old is not drinkable.  :o

Any good Scot will tell you Scot is a Person from Scotland, While Scotch is what they drink. So since we are not drinking the sheep and they came from Scotland they must be Scotsheep or Sheepscot but not Scotchsheep!  ::) ;D :D

If they chomp weeds around the Sheepscot area, they'd be known as "yard goats".  ;D
SHEEPscot area?

Well all we would have to do is get some sheep from Scotland then we would have "Sheepscot".  :D  ::)

I will retire at this time.  ;D

All of the goats that I have seen are usually pretty friendly so you don't have to worry about the little ones getting to close, in fact the ones I had contact with out here in Oregon were attention hounds, they just loved being petted and loved upon. This really might be away to keep the weeds down along the right away.

Carl,

I would be very hesitant to use it for storage as the trusses were not designed for that, if the engineer did not know that you wanted storage there he would not have added the weight capacity for that. Using it for storage is a slippery slope, you put one thing up there and then two or three more items and soon you have exceeded the capacity of the trusses, you get a good snow storm and the next thing you know the roof caves in on the rolling stock.

I would be real hesitant to remove the siding at TOM, the operating flexibility is well worth the non historical track layout. It's there and will cost nothing to leave it and if for some reason that the track gets blocked between it and 218 then you are set up for passenger operations. If I remember there is both a slide and a washout, both of these things tend to repeat themselves.

What was wrong with the other switch stand? I can see some visual alignment confusion with this one...

According to the caption, it has more leverage than the other style of switch stand.

According to them they were back up and running on Saturday, just another day for a mountain railroad.

Car shop trusses?
Has something to do with car shop hernias. (I wouldn't say this if it were anyone but you, Ira.)

Yes if you try to lift one by yourself !  ;D ::)  ;)

Does Europe not have NIMBYs? That's a lot of street running!

From what I learned over on another site they only run the steam two or three weekends a year, most of the time they are running trams (Trolleys). At one time from what I understood that one or two of the lines on the tram system were steam powered quite a few years back and that this is a restored, regauged locomotive with historic cars behind it. If this is special occasion I would have thought that there would have been more people in the cars and a whole lot more railfans photographing it.

Greetings,

Interesting little video, well shot and nice surroundings. It was different with all of the street running, I wonder if they use the other track when they are going the other way or do they fight the traffic. By the way where is this little railway located?

While the thoughts of lots of warm weather is nice they actually need mild to cool weather so the snow melts slowly, if it melts too fast they then will have floods and that is no fun at all! So I hope that it warms up slowly so the snow can melt and not overload the rivers and streams causing damage.
