Massachusetts' Two Footers / Re: WW&F #10 at Pleasure Island
« on: August 24, 2020, 01:43:57 PM »
Yes Bill Robie posted it.  He is one on the trustees at the Colorado Railroad Museum.  Last Saturday he told me these were all 16 mm which is why they look so good!  He worked on the train crew there and at Edaville.  I lived in Massachusetts and visited Pleasure Island several times in the early 1960s.  This was the first steam train I ever rode!  Of course I didn't know anything about Maine two foot gauge or anything about gauge at all back then!

Bill thank you for your comments and thank you much more for helping to provide a wonderful event!  I am looking forward to next time!

It was my first time there and I loved it!  Can't wait to go back!

I just posted the thread below on the Narrow Gauge Discussion Forum about the Sandy River whistle and hat badge I donated to the Phillips Historical Society:

My friend and I will be at the February event!

Bob, I didn't know that.  Is it the rusting boiler I saw years ago in Phillips somewhere?

Steve, No there aren't plus he recently sold it to the Strasburg Railroad so you will be able to ride behind it someday!

It has been blown once on my my friend's Cagney locomotive.  Yes it was loud!

It does look similar but seems to be a bit fatter or shorter.
