I was thinking, that since the first live discussion we had went so well, why don't we try it again. When would people like to have another live discussion? It will probably be on the railwayvideo.org chat, since the last time we discovered some problems with the chat on the forum here.

Good idea, Joe -- I'm in. I can't recall what day of the week we did it last time...should we try for mid-week?

Joe Fox replied:

Last time it was on a Friday, and we had about ten people I believe. We can try for mid week if that's what other people think would work best for them.

So let's just throw out a date. How about next Wednesday the 27th...if that's a good evening for everyone, what would be a good time?

Joe Fox replied:

Last time it was at 7, so is anybody interested in trying for 7 again on Wednesday?

Now that the days are longer, lets try later...how about starting at 8pm...

That's fine with me. What do other people think? Steve will you be at the museum tomorrow? Talk to you later.

I'll try to make it, although it is our kid's bedtime.
Anyone up for 9 p.m. the next time?   (http://images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif)

Bill, sign on at 8, and go put the kids to bed. When you come back you can scroll through the comments and you won't miss anything. We might still be on at 9 anyway...

Hello all --
Steve H. asked me to tell everyone that we'll have another live chat tomorrow, Tuesday, July 10, at 8:30 p.m. over on his Railway Video site. Come by if you can and have the inclination to do so. He's out in the midwest somewhere but expects to return to Mass. tomorrow afternoon.
Here's a link to Steve's site: http://railwayvideo.org/chatlive.html (http://railwayvideo.org/chatlive.html)
Cheers -- Wayne Laepple

Thanks Wayne,
I forgot to mention that our previous chat that was held on Wedensday, June 27th had a few people on, I don't remember the exact amount, but we all stayed on for an hour and fourty five minutes. Not a bad length of time. A few joined in late, but we were pleased to see that a few more joined in. I think the most we had was 7, but I am not sure. Talk to you guys later.

Yep, that's right. Figured maybe we should try some different nights to see what works best. So the chat room will be open at 8:30 tonight...  (http://images/smiles/icon_cool.gif) http://railwayvideo.org/chatlive.html (http://railwayvideo.org/chatlive.html)

That chat time was an interesting experience last night - first time I ever participated in one.  Next best thing to being there!

Some of us were still working at that time last night......

Sorry I didn't make the chat Tuesday. I went to bed tuesday night at 9, so I wouldn't have been on very long, and I also forgot all about the chat. What time did it end? Talk to you later.

The chat ran from 8:30 to about 10:10pm. We were all having a lively discussion until someone pointed out that it was after 10:00. After a quick series of 'I've got to call it a night' posts, it was over.
Much of the discussion centered around the new water tank, and it later morphed into what projects we may want to tackle should some money be made available. This included much re-hashing of many topics discussed elsewhere on this forum.

Joe,
When you are young is the time to use to those long days, 2 hrs of sleep and a candy bar is all you need, ahh I rember those days.  Unfortunatly I am beyond that now.  For the record, I was out unitl after midnight last night as well.  Twice in the same week, its been a while since I did that.

I have had a few nights with little sleep, not because of work, only because I wanted to. So when will the next discussion be? Any ideas?

I was on the chat room for a while this week, but I had to get off to go to bed for an early trip to Montreal the next morning.
Here is how last Friday went and why I was not at the WW&F Saturday.
I got up at 630 a.m. and did my pre trip inspection at 7 a.m. After spending the day in Montreal, we left at about 2:15 p.m. USA customs held us up for just over two hours crossing the border. We made a meal stop in Newport, VT. and got the passengers back to their camp in Wolfeborough, NH at 11:30 p.m. Then is was back to Portland with the bus, check out and go home. I got to bed at 2 a.m. and THAT is why I was not at the WW&F.
