The ballast in that photo was so pristine, I thought it was a computer rendering at first...

For those who may not know of Train Mountain, they are the worlds largest 7.5" gauge railroad with over 37 miles of track. Not 37 scale miles, that is 37 ACTUAL miles of track. A very impressive railroad. Much like us, they host a few work parties through out the year that are 7-9 day sessions.

It's in Chiloquin, Oregon as I understand.

Someone more tech savvy than I should let them know that they were inspired by a 2 footer in Maine, not a broad gauge 3 footer in Maine. We are only three times larger than they are, not 5 times larger.
