The Wiscasset & Quebec Railroad Company (the original 1854 company that in many places on the ROW is our landlord, and owns a much of the existing ROW) had a board meeting on Sunday. I heard through one of the participants some great news.
The W&Q had an opening on their board, word of this got around and someone who has made their fortune in the technology sector heard about it and asked to join. The W&Q accepted this person onto their board. This person (who for obvious reasons didn't want to be publicized quite yet) brings to the table professional business experience, so we are going to see the W&Q start to take a bigger role in their management of the ROW that they have, the research into the various portions of the ROW that they don't own, and hiring of employees to pull this off. This could mean the purchase of unowned ROW, and the repair of existing ROW in each of the towns that the WW&F ran through.
The others on the W&Q are pretty excited at this, and we should be too - since the Museum will be the ultimate beneficiaries of this work.

And Happy April Fool's Day to you as well James! Were that it were true!

Yes, if there were only a Peck of truth to this.
(James had me fooled on this. Good job!)

There is always at least one a year. Nice James.

He's got a bushel of them, let alone a peck.

You had me going with this tale, James, right up to the point where you mentioned hiring employees. Then I remembered what day it is. Good one!
If only it were true.....

Ed thought it was true because there was no punch line. I figured the day of posting was punchline enough!

You mean it's not true??? ???
