Title: Thank YOU!
Post by: Ed Lecuyer on September 13, 2011, 04:05:40 PM
Hi all,

Every once in a while I get a nice complement about our discussion forum. Meanwhile, today I was reading another forum (shh, it is "Standard Gauge") and found their tone and demeanor, frankly, quite rude and disgusting. (Knowing some of the innocent participants personally doesn't help, I suppose.) Also, the moderators of that board seem to get no respect from its participants; and sometimes appear to have little authority.

Anyhow, I thought it would be best for me to pass the many complements I have received about our forum on to you, the WW&F forum members. For the most part, I rarely ever "moderate" anything. Instead, we have civil and fun conversations about the topics we share in common. And, whenever I have edited/moderated anything, the members have always understood why and respected that decision.

I think it's just a small indication why the WW&F museum is special.

Thanks for everything. Keep up the good work :-)

I hear you Ed. This forum is the best I visit. Might not be the most active, but is the best.

Ed, I do agree with you fully. I've been browsing this forum for a year or two and it is because civility and how well it is run that I finally decided to sign up.

I too agree. Although my personal life has been keeping me away from the forums here alot. I do still love this forum to death and I love the WW&F to death and I must say that Ed and the rest of the staff memebers of this forum have done a great job at keeping this forum up and running. I must applad for such great research and tecnical skills have been brought out in this forum and I must say, out of all the 2 foot railway forums out there in the world, I personally think this one is above all #1 in my views. Congradulations for Ed and the rest for keeping the WW&F an intresting topic for all future railfans alike to enjoy and share thier views and perspectives on this great historic 2 foot railroad. :D
