Title: A Blast From the Past - Old Newsletter Quotes
Post by: James Patten on January 24, 2011, 06:43:33 PM
This is from the March/April 1996 Newsletter.  The article is "Preview of the 1996 Track Crew", written by Jason.

The first paragraph is really good.

"Here we are again on the edge of yet another track season.  The track crew is so anxious, we have had to be held back from tearing down the doors, running out like madmen with our tamping shovels and releasing the track-side urges built up over the winter.  The stage is set for a lot of work this year, and we just hope we can get to all of it."

Ah the good old days.  I remember those "track-side urges".  I've gotten better, now.

Yes but the last quoted line I think is still in use by him.

"The stage is set for a lot of work this year, and we just hope we can get to all of it."

I think many of us still feel the same way. And I hope we always do! The WW&F is my escape from the real world.

I thought the WWF is the real world and the rest of the world/life is somewhere we go when not at the museum....

I wish life would quit getting in the way then. I'd much rather spend my time at the museum.
