Title: Where in Sheepscot Yard are the passenger cars?
Post by: Steve Smith on November 01, 2009, 09:45:25 PM
I ask because early in December I want to go down to the museum to do the final quarterly journal box inspection/servicing for 2009.

If the passenger cars are on the main at the station I can't get to their left sides, and even if they are clear of the platform it's very difficult because of the steep embankment.

Now that #52 is down for overhaul, I'm wondering whether #51 can move one car at a time over to the runaround track or a yard track. Is this perhaps feasible with a few "0-2-0" helpers on the hind end?

Number 52 isn't being overhauled - #51 is. Number 52 will be happy to move any cars you want moved, paint you want pulled off the walls, etc.

Thanks, John. I misread James's report for the Halloween weekend and hence thought #52 was the one being overhauled.

We don't need any paint removed at the moment. But I could sure use a haircut. Maybe 52's hot exhaust would singe off some?
