Title: 2 foot in Australia
Post by: Carl G. Soderstrom on July 13, 2021, 01:10:12 AM
Have not had a chance to watch yet but
Great Australian Railway Journeys (Kuranda to Townsville)
on PBS did a section on 2 foot Sugar Cane RR.

Don't know if it was national but will rebroadcast Saturday at 3PM local time in the
Minneapolis/St Paul area.

The little I saw he was in the cane field then took a cab ride. Will watch and report.

Though the program is titled Trains Across Australia - it is not much about trains.

Mike Portillo did walk in cane field , took the throttle on a 2' engine, and visited
Tully Sugar plant- I think he spent more time in a bar singing Waltzing Matilda. {^¿^}

It is a travelog program not a train program - so unless you want to just see Australia landscape......
