...was the first trial run under steam of restored locomotive No. 9.  Our updated roster page for No. 9 (http://wordpress.wwfry.org/?page_id=182) now includes photos of that milestone, as well as a link to the YouTube video Eric Schade posted of the event.

Wow. In some ways that seems like just yesterday. In other ways it seems like an eternity.

What a life of hard work for #9 but she could not fall in better hands than yours for that matter since she joined the WW&F Ry musem she has been living the padded existence she had deserved . Given her poor conditions her restoring to operation was by no means  a bed of roses  so you can pride yourselves on achieving it.  I'm sure that you won't struggle as much in building  from scratch her big sister #11.
