Title: More Free Publicity
Post by: Mike Fox on January 01, 2009, 08:25:58 PM
Tonight on the show 207, they did a recap of some of the stories that were run over the year. They showed the clip of the WW&F again. I know it's a re-run, but twice this year we have made it on the 7 pm show. Free publicity at it's best.

Steve and Mike,
One other thing the video does is to show our friends exactly what we do at the museum. I'm sure I am not the only member who gets that "funny" look when you tell folks how you spent a 3 or 4 day weekend in Maine and how much you enjoyed the experience.  Folks who aren't train-people just can't comprehend what we do without seeing it for themselves and sometimes seeing can bring us new members.

Duncan, that must be the same look I got when I said I rode to Machias to look for rail. That puzzled look with a slight hint at you being crazy. Especially when you do it for nothing. People just don't understand we aren't doing it for nothing.

I think more people I work with saw it this time than the original...
