I'm sure this question has been answered in the past but here goes.  Is your time based on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)?  If so, why?  I would imagine Eastern Standard Time since that is where the museum is located.

I have also wondered that, the time shown for posts is somehow "off".

"Forum Time" is adjustable to the individual  user's preference.  See this screenshot:

Note the setting called "Time Offset". The screenshot setting is correct for Eastern Time zone. If you are in Eastern Time, set it to 4. If you are in other Time Zones, adjust accordingly. The options marked in 'orange' should help you find that page.

It's funny that I'm reading this at 9:30 pm on Monday night and the post about the time problem is from the future, stamped 1:30 am on Tuesday.

You guys have any lucky lottery numbers??

I live in the Mountain time zone, two hours behind Maine. Why not show your local time on receipt of messages, and I deduct two hours; or are you locked into how the network posts international time, with Greenwich the zero meridian?

Confusing, as noted.

The clock on the Forum does not auto adjust for daylight savings time, so you need to adjust it accordingly with the clock.. Mine will be right again shortly.

DST adjustment is not the issue. I can't adjust anything.

Hi All,

I think I found (and fixed) the issue. Note that this "fix" may have broken the time display for others.

If the time displayed at the top of the forum (under the No.9 logo and "Hello") is now incorrect then:
1. Click Profile (near the top of this page.)

2. Click "Look and Layout Preferences"  (under "Modify Profile" on the left hand side.)

3a. Change "Time Offset:" to 0  (assuming US Eastern Time.)
or
3b. Press "Auto Detect" to set the offset correctly for your time zone (if not US Eastern Time.)

4. Adjust the offset, if the time does not still match (or check that the date, time, and time zone are set properly on your computer.)
