The Lincoln County News reports (https://lcnme.com/currentnews/lcn-skidompha-partner-to-digitize-newspaper-archives/) that the LCN and the Skidompha Public Library in Damariscotta have undertaken a project to digitize the LCN and predecessor newspapers (http://www.skidompha.org/lcn-skidompha-newspaper-archive-project/).
Depending on the dates of the newspapers to be archived, this looks to make period newspaper articles on the original W&Q and WW&F more readily available. I know researching the history of Cape Cod's railroads has become much easier with the availability of digital archives for several old Cape papers.

This is great news. I have found articles on the W&Q in the old Gardiner papers that are online.
