Last night at the Wiscasset Area Chamber of Commerce's 5th annual member dinner, the Museum received a Growth and Development Award. The text on the award reads; " The Growth and Development Award recognizes the accomplishments of an organization which contributes to the economic, social and/or cultural well-being of the Wiscasset area, demonstrating community involvement and the spirit of volunteerism."

Very nice award Steve and well deserved, I'd say. Thanks for sharing the wording.

Congratulations to all of us and especially to Steve Z for all his work on building our relations with the town. :)

Excellent! That's the kind of community recognition we need. Well done, Steve.

Steve is a wonderful ambassador for the railroad to local business leaders and town officials. The WW&F is a well respected business and attraction in the Mid-Coast Region, this fact is reflected in the award from the Wiscasset Chamber of Commerce.
Well done Presdient Steve Zuppa.

It's very encouraging to see how, over the years, the WW&F has become a part of the community.
The recognition is well deserved and my thanks to Steve.

Congratulations to Steve Z and everyone involved in the railroad!

One of the questions on the HRHS Heritage Grant request was 'how does the organization interface with the surrounding communities and businesses'. Steves accomplishments with the town clearly answer that question and exemplify all that is good about our railway and our volunteers.
The recognition is not only of our railway but of Steve.
Well done Steve!!!

Steve was proudly telling the details of this today.

This is an example of the recognition we are getting and richly deserve, especially after the restrooms were finished. My wife who is on the list for 'Smithsonian Journeys' travel trips, got a notice that we are on the itinerary for a fall tour of New England by rail, about $1000 a day so not cheap, lots of potential donors besides the tourists. Good job, Steve..... dale
