Spring has sprung at Sheepscot. As proof: wildflowers between the ties of Track 7 near the door to the machine shop. Oh say can you see/ the wee little bee? Probably not if you're looking on a phone.

Stewart Rhine took full advantage of the weather to continue with refurbishing the station office. After 20 years (I think that's he figure he gave) the elements have taken their toll.
(I wonder what happens to all those tolls. Is there any way the WW&F could get some kind of a grant from a portion of them? James, maybe in your spare time….ha ha…you could look into that.)

Those tolls were instituted under a previous treasurer, and went to some other entity. ::)

Hey Steve,
It was good to see ya yesterday. I was gonna to ask the yearly question - "Spring is sprung, the grass is rizz, I wonder where the flowers is" but you answered it nicely. Those flowers came up as soon as Big Joe was moved off that part of the siding.
BTW - there is proof of the station's age ... it's 20. It was built before there was any rail on the mainline. About the time it was completed the first rail went down on the mainline grade.

My goodness, what a wonderful machine Jason designed! It not only tamps and provides all the comforts of home for the operator, but in its spare time it even plants flower seeds.
-
I guess we'll have to call it a tamper planter!
-
Oh I can't take credit for big joe any more... Many more minds have blended the design by now. Must have been one of those minds who figured out how to make it a tamper planter...

tampah plantah, tampah plantah, tampah plantah......
???

Don't tamper with our planter :o
-
I think it's more like a tamper cultivator. Ask the farmers.

If Big Joe is a planter/cultivator, does that mean we can apply for money from the US Ag Dept.?
