Title: 2ft Brookville and Train - For Sale - Katahdin Lumber Co.
Post by: Jeff Schumaker on January 17, 2013, 12:16:08 PM: Bob Bennet posted some photos of a narrow gauge Brookville and equipment up in Fairfield, ME, on the Yahoo groups Railcritters. I believe its sitting in a lumber yard. Has any other museum member seen this loco?

(207) 547-8077" This sign, along with several others with the same number offering heavy equipment and shop tools is located on front wall ahead of cash registers where they post business cards and public notices. It has been up there at least two weeks as I wrote the number down and promptly lost it last time. Maybe someone on here knows what this is and can direct the stuff into some hands needing seldom seen items. Mr. Moderator, if this is in wrong place, please move it

Post by: Glenn Byron on January 25, 2013, 05:31:45 PM: I saw this riding by this afternoon and stopped to peek. It is located in Fairfield on Route 201 North from I-95 toward Skowhegan. The Caswell Liquidation Warehouse is number 200 on the right. In front on display is just what Ed and Mike said: A Katahdin Lumber Co 2' gauge Brookville blue Engine #4 (Maybe you call this a Plymouth but it's not Christine), a black Tender car hitched to it, a black Flat car with a hand crank derrick on it, and a red Caboose #2. I could see laying in the snow a very few pieces of light rail. I had no camera with me except my phone and I can't get pictures out of there. The units are painted nicely and appear usable. Don't know what the power plant is. There is access to this at any time, with no fence. A sign on a high track D-4 Cat for $30K said to call Dana at 547-8077. Someone at my coffee shop told me Mr. Caswell has had some health issues, and this might be why some of his equipment is for sale.
