In case anyone was wondering why pictures in many threads here suddenly vanished last week, they are actually "hosted" on a separate photo web site called Villagephotos. I've been using Villagephotos.com as my image host for 8 years and except for a few brief outages, they've been great. Not ALL images have been affected, some are in fact hosted right here. However, the following message appeared on the Villagephotos web site Sunday morning:

Temporarily Unavailable
We apologize that we are experiencing a temporary system-wide outage. We are moving to a new internet provider, hoping early this week.
We have been unable to get into our email help desk because of this outage, and we apologize for the lack of communication.
We are responding to the emails we have received as quickly as possible, in the order they came in.
I appreciate your patience, and we understand your frustration.

They haven't responded to me yet. I email them once a month. Somehow they have downgraded me to a free account but are still charging me my monthly fee. No one to call to correct this, and no way to stop it without cancelling my card.
