Title: G-Gauge Forney

Does anyone know of a company that makes a G-gauge Forney that would be appropriate as a WW&F model?

Try LGB or PIKO.  they have recently gotten into that sort of thing.  I saw several nice models of SRRL stuff by LGB only a few weeks back at Wolfs Head Nursery in PA.

Accucraft has two Live Steam G Gauge Forneys.  The 0-4-4RT is close to #9 and with modified cab its close to #10.

Roundhouse Engineering in the UK makes this little live steam beauty for 45mm gauge track.

Roundhouse offers this engine lettered as SR&RL No.6...so the resemblance is not surprising.

The Roundhouse website indicates that the Forney is discontinued.

How about electric-powered models that run on G-scale track (as opposed to live steam?)

You can still find them. And if there was enough interest I'm sure they could be re-introduced.
I don't know about electrics, but steam is a lot of fun!

The apparant reason Roundhouse discontinued their forney was poor sales as it is the wrong scale/gauge combination. It is roughly 1/22 scale running on track that would be 3' gauge, not 2' as all maine forneys were. I have one and it is a great runner but needs a bigger cab for my 7/8 scale railroad. Then it will be a wonderful facimile for our #10, with almost identical boiler diameter. Dale

Hi All
   Just have to share what my friend Eric has done. His talents and modeling abilities have really impressed me since I met him a few years ago. I have learned a lot from him and wish that I lived closer so that I could pick his brain and watch over his shoulder. I do believe he is a member and has volunteered at the WW&F. Anyway--- check out the You Tube videos of life steam #9 he has built to run on “G”-gauge track. I find this most impressive and really enjoy watching him run not only this scratch built locomotive but his scratch built rolling stock.
