Title: Interesting Photo
Post by: Mike Fox on February 02, 2010, 08:58:15 AM
I know it's broader than 2 foot. Maybe 2'6"? Rail looks about right. But it was taken 40 years ago. Interesting perspective. Looks like the track in front of the coal shed in Bridgton Junction.

Great photo.  Interesting that the narrow gauge track looks to be in better shape than the standard gauge.

That photo was taken in a cresoting plant.  Note the cars in the background designed to carry railroad ties and similar types of wood.

That photo must have been taken right at the end of operations at the tie plant, as this was around the time that the Valley Railroad received a self propelled (standard gauge) crane that had worked there.
