I've been trying to figure out what the round, tube-like thing is on the roof of coach 16 in the photo attached. It's on the right side in the photo, on the roof and appears to be blocking 1 or 2 of the clerestory windows.

Warren, that looks like a tank for kerosene or range oil for the stove.

Wanted: Copies of correspondence and photographs from "first generation narrow gage railfans" such as Linwood Moody, Dick Andrews, Lawrence Brown, Ellis Atwood, H.T. Crittenden and others. Interested in all two foot (U.S.) rail operations, common carrier, industrial/mill and park/museum.
