Online Safety Test
« on: April 29, 2025, 04:19:07 PM »
Hello, so me and my Dad both went up to do the Volunteer Recruitment Days and Crew Training Sessions in September of last year and we emailed asking for the link to the online safety test but never got any response. So I was just wondering if/were I could get the link to the online safety test? We plan on coming back up for the work weekend on May 3rd and would preferably like to do the test before then. Speaking of the work weekend what's planned for that day? Track work I assume?

Hi Emmett!
I'm very sorry that you've been waiting for a response to your email this long! Something clearly went wrong, as I definitely didn't receive your message. I'll PM you with a link to the basic safety test. Please let me know if you encounter any hiccups.

Great to hear that you'll be joining us next Saturday for the Tie 'n' Dine. Here's what's published regarding the day's activities:

Tie and Dine: May 3, 2025
A “tie and dine” is a special work day that is set aside to do maintenance along the railroad – usually installing ties and ballast. After working most of the live-long day, we all board the steam-powered special “dinner train” for a cookout or pizza party as “thank you” for our volunteers. The Springtime Tie and Dine is timed to allow those who wish to volunteer on the railway in the morning, break for lunch, then attend the Annual Membership Meeting at 2pm.

Pete,
I also emailed you for the safety, brakeman, conductor and engineers test. Can you send me the links also?

Hi Bill,
I just sent a test message to training.officer, and I got it. I also tested pete.stevens, which works, so something fishy is happening out there.

Just so you know, you took all the tests a year and a half ago, so you don't really need to do them again. You're certainly welcome to if you're extra excited about tests.
