Yes, that is MNG GE Diesel #1.
We are facilitating its repair in coordination with MNG and ML&M.

I like the paint scheme.

I believe it's a Portland Terminal paint scheme (homage to Maine Central).

It is a very nice paint job. It does not look anything Maine Central like to me. Someone told me once what inspired the scheme. It was nothing around here.

Maybe Portland Oregon. The ones over here either looked like B&M\MEC diesels in black & red (which she had for a while) or black with a yellow nose.

I've seen Portland Terminal photos with the yellow nose.

I believe that B&M and MEC engines (and Portland Terminal) had a maroon body with gold stripes in the center paint scheme in the 40's and 50's. Check out Conway Scenic's engines 573 and 4268. https://www.conwayscenic.com/2021/05/14/april-2021-wheel-report/

MNGRR No. 1 is maroon with an off white (maybe cream?) stripe.

So were repairs to #1 successful?

Easy way to answer the question. Is No. 1 still in the enginehouse? Is it still jacked up?

The locomotive is still in the engine house with one truck disassembled.

There was a bearing failure. New bearings are in the works.
