BUFF B-52, Air Force, Snoring, and French.
Bill Baskerville:
Kevin, I haven't heard that one, but it is very possible. The B-52 may be the first military airplane to be front line for a hundred years. Unheard of in this high technology environment. They will still be flying when I am cold and in the ground. Sort of like Number 9!
John Kokas:
The main reason the B-52 is still around is because the USAF decided a long time ago that the plane is not built for "penetration" missions in enemy territory anymore. That is why you only see it over targets where we have complete air dominance and little to no enemy anti-aircraft capability. The invention of cruise missiles, and other stand-off weapons are ideal for the B-52 due to its large payload capability and numerous wing hardpoints.
