Hi Mike,

Thanks for posting the photos of the painted and lettered open excursion car #103 on nerail.  I was up for the track work weekend and saw all the work Zack, Stewart and others had done on the car.  I was interested in seeing the final paint and lettering for the car.

Thanks to everyone who posts photos on nerail and here on the forum.  For those of us who can't visit as often as we'd like, it's nice to see what's happening in Alna.

Thanks Bill. Zack and Stewart really did a fine job. And whoever helped over the long weekend. I was north so am not sure who helped. And there were some that helped over the summer. I think it will be a popular car next summer. See you again sometime.

Mike,  Thanks for posting the photos of the car!  Bill, thanks for your comments as well.  I worked on the car for a good part of the 2 weeks after the track weekend.  There was no original WW&F scheme for excursion cars so I decided to try something new with the lettering.  The last thing I did was clean and paint the end platforms.  There is still painting work to be done but it will have to wait until Spring.  It's a great addition to the passenger trains and was filled on most of our Halloween trips.

Stewart, I also would like to mention that I rode in 103 this weekend and it was a nice riding car. The seats are wood but our ride isn't long enough for the average butt to wear out.  Hopefully we can hang onto it for a while.

Ira,
A shortcut is photos.nerail.org.  Click on "Browse by Railroad' in the upper left corner.  Then click on "W" near the top of the page.  "WW&F" will then appear near the bottom of the page.

Or a shorter shortcut is http://photos.nerail.org/show/?byrail:1:WW&F

Steve,
Nice hat!

I just spent an hour going over the photos at the site.
Very nice source for WW&F photos of the modern era.
