I'm not sure if any of you here are familiar with this, but I just ran across the book "Yankees Under Steam" in the local college library. It is a collection of steam related articles that were published over the years in "Yankee" magazine. Most of the articles include or are based on 1st hand accounts of various steam related mishaps in New England history. A particularly interesting one was the story of the fateful last run of "Old Peppersass" at the cog railway. Another covers the laying of the transatlantic cable by Cyrus Field. I think many of the folks at the museum would really enjoy it. It also would be a neat book to see reprinted or ordered (if it is at all available) for the gift shop.
