Signs of spring in Maine
« on: March 21, 2014, 08:17:20 PM »
Dirt roads become mud bogs.

Load limit signs bloom everywhere.

Frost heave and bump signs populate the road sides. I believe there must be some state law that prohibits posting of a bump or frost heave warning near the actual frost heave.

Frost heave hopping should be a freestyle olympic sport, especially in a 4 wheel drive truck!

I just spotted a tourist at Wiscasset waterfront. We must be getting closer.

Are you sure he/she didn't just emerge from a snowbank after being frozen all winter?

Nope she was bundled up holding taking pictures and holding a tourist map. She was probably regretting taking an early spring trip to Maine to see the sites and save a couple bucks. Still in the low 30's right now.
