Cool thing about using magnets is you could display them in the Gift Shop when not in use for all to see.  ;)

And while you're making magnets, why not a Kennebec Central version as well?  That would be something few have seen!

Folks,
The thing to do if you want to show a SR & RL locomotive is to do it with the Sandy River Railroad Museum. That way they could share the costs of the paint, signs and vinyl etc.

And if you really want to go all the way; you can get Bickford Transportation to take he up to Phillips for "old home days" and run her on home rails. i wonder how many locomotives have run on four railways?

There's a lot of engines that were run on at least 3 just in Maine service

3's been around the block (and the country for that matter).

Revenue service:
Monson
Edaville
Pleasure Island
Freedomland
Maine Narrow Gauge (GTR right of way)
Sandy River (P&R right of way)
WW&F

Non revenue operations:
Portland Termial (down Commercial St on snap track)
Monson
Billerica & Bedford
Long Beach (don't think was steamed in CA)
Various parades in Edaville times (sometimes steamed on the back of the flatbed)

Back in the day though, #9 was the only engine to travel on 3 different railroads and carry 4 different road names. Many engines were bought and sold from other railroads, however usually only seeing two different lines.

I think if we exclude the preservation era (everything post-1943) then No. 9 is the clear winner in terms of number of railroads operated on. Runners-up would probably include WW&F No. 8 (which was also B&SR No. 3 and KCRR No. 3), and B&B 'Puck' which carried four different road numbers on the SRRR, P&R, and SR&RL, and also operated briefly on the B&SR.

The Railroad Museum of New England also hosted M R R #3 back on September 21-22, 2002.  It was a display-only visit and she remained on the trailer.  This was the weekend following it visit and operation at Bedford, MA to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the Billerica & Bedford, America's first 2-footer.
The loco certainly looks much better today than in 2002 thanks to the recent overhaul that brought it back to a more realistic Monson-era appearance.
