Oh Deere
« on: March 16, 2013, 06:21:05 PM »
As was mentioned Friday, the museum has been given a tractor. Fred graciously donated his 1973 (I know, it is too new) Model 820 John Deere tractor. He bought it new and it had served him well. He and his wife decided that it was time for someone else (namely the museum) to get some good use out of it. And we will. Fred and his wife Sharron have once again proven their generosity, and with this gift we will be able to do so much more easily. And when Fred came out of the shop and saw me using it, his smile could not have been larger.

Thank you Fred and Sharron.

Mike

In looking at online auctions for the same tractor, it appears that one can get one these for more money today than Fred paid for it in 1973!

Thank you Fred and Sharron for the generous gift!

And thank you Fred for everything you've done for the museum.  The place wouldn't be the same without you -- and I mean that in a good way!
We want...A SHRUBBERY!  One that looks nice, and not too expensive.

Thanks Fred and Sharron for your generosity. It's a shame that Mike had to get mud on it.
