Anticipated work for Saturday Jan 5:

James,  I believe that Jason wants to work on #10.  It's due a warm-up fire, hydro test and clean out.  Do you know if that is happening this weekend?

That's right #10 clean out is happening this weekend.  I knew that too.  I'll change the post.

Yup; it'll be cold but I don't want to keep putting it off.  Anyone else willing to help?

See ya

I'm going to "Steam in the Snow" at  North Conway. I want to see 573 in action. I understand there's going to be another locomotive there, too. ;)

What? Are they double-heading 573 and 4266 on the west end?  ;)

Rumor has it that Ichabod will be doing a special job on Saturday.   I hope someone brings a camera.

Work done on Saturday Jan 5:

* Restrooms: the sheetrock in the men's and women's rooms are done, as is the outside hall.  The interior hall (between the bathrooms) has to be done on the ceiling and on the back wall.
* #10: The engine was cleaned out, hydro'd, and then the water was dumped out.
* Gift shop: Linda and I finished up the inventorying.
* Plow: The diesel plowed out the yard, thanks to the crane car plucking the plow from the front and moving to the back, then putting back in the front.

This week -

Engine 9 work continued with Jonathan and Jason working on the drivers and driving boxes.

Restroom building work continued with Steve Z. and his faithful sidekick Festus Fred, finishing the tape and mud for the sheetrock walls and ceilings in both sides.  All the fixtures were delivered on Friday and are in storage, ready to be installed when the walls (and more plumbing) are done.

Work done on Saturday Jan 12:

Today was a short day because several of us went to attend the talk on the Eagle Lake and West Branch at Owl's Head.

* Restrooms: Zack and Stewart mounted the cold water tanks, and Zack installed the first copper pipe.
* Crane: Mike puttered around gathering materials to create the mount for a counterweight.
* #9: The drivers got primer paint.
* Switches: Brendan loaded a trailer with rails which will become closure rails and frogs, thanks to Dave C and Wayne.
