2012 Fund Drive progress
« on: November 11, 2012, 08:07:33 PM »
At Friday's board meeting, it was reported that this year's fund drive stands at about $45,000.  This is above this time last year.  The donations for this year's drive came in quite heavy at the beginning.  At the end of September we had received over $5000 more than the same time last year.

Hopefully this means our total receipts will be well above the goal of $55,000.  I have no doubt we will make the goal by the end of the year.

According to our mail openers, with checks from this past week the fund drive has officially gone over the $55,000 goal!  Hooray to us!

Just a reminder - we're still accepting donations to it.  Just one more day to get your 2012 tax deductible gift to us.  If you'd like instant gratification, you can always donate online using PayPal.  Just see the Donate button at the top of the webpage.  Charitable donation rules are likely changing in 2013 - so take advantage of the current rules while you still can.

I am personally grateful to all of you who support the museum both with your hard work and your hard earned money. It couldn't happen without 'viewers like you' as they say, and  your continued enthusiasm and faith in our organization means that this rebuilding of Maine 2 foot gauge railroading will keep rolling along.

The stage we are creating in the Maine woods draws us together and makes real those timeless pictures that captured our imaginations. These images, experiences, and memories, like those from Victorian Christmas, are why we do this.

Your generosity makes our dreams possible.

Thank you!
Gawdon

Just 6 hours left before midnight EST!  $300 have come in for the fund drive over the last 24 hours via PayPal.  There's still time to get your year-end donation in.  Act now!
