36" Plymouths For Sale
« on: December 31, 2010, 12:47:55 PM »
D. F. Barnhardt has a listing for six (6), 5 ton, gas mechanical, Plymouths for sale.  If they could be re-gauged to 24", they would make great "base" units MOW work, e.g. ROW mower, prime mover for "Little Joe", or whatever.  They are located out in Ira's country.

Considering the locomotives are outside framed, conversion wouldn't be horrible. The cars on the other hand may be more of a challenge. But not impossible. Can ony imagine what they want for these.

The Albion group used Dragon Cement's press to re-gauge their locomotive. It would be nice to have a spare unit to move M.O.W. equipment. Three of them look to be in decent shape. I wonder what the Board thinks about this.
