Well- if anyone thought an imposter was using Fred's name- now we know better.  This must be the real Fred!

Power restored this morning  ;D

We had a ferocious wind & rain storm on Thursday night/Friday morning, knocking out power to thousands of households, as many out-of-staters may have heard.  The storm did not seem to affect the Museum much, as the power stayed on and a trip up the line on Saturday morning revealed very few problems.

Work was happening on #9's smokebox, primarily.  The "patch" that is at the bottom of the smokebox was fitted up and was in the process of being drilled for future rivets when I left.

Although I hesitate to say it, it looks like Spring is making an early appearance to coastal Maine.  The frost may be out of the ground before too long.

Watch, we'll get hit with a 3-foot snowstorm in mid March.

Jason;
You're correct, it was the real Fred. He logged into the Chat Room and then posted here that he thought he was chatting. I logged in but he never responded there. Perhaps he needs a quick lesson...
