Great work, guys. I noticed that Fred's chair has a companion. Is that for the museum president?

Another great day. Lots of great help and good ribbing. Fred told me he was pleased, which swelled my head slightly. He is ready to come up and get all the wood we have cut. We have a very small amount to cut now. Just some fir trees and maybe some other brush around. We had passed these trees up to concentrate on what we needed to cut. With that complete, we can now cut these. So, depending on weather, next Saturday morning should do it.

We had about 12 people again today. Again, I did not count. So may have been only 8 or 9.

Before..

James is busy getting the fire started before we even started cutting trees. He was ready..

Zoomed in to see end of track..

Looks like you got a bunch of work done, wish I could have been there.  After those last trees are cut is there anything to du until spring when mike can smooth out the grade?

There is always something to do Brian. We may slow a little, but there may be a little cutting elsewhere while we have the snowcover to burn the brush..

Plus a whole bunch of other projects that can almost always use an extra set of hands.

I know there is a seemingly endless amount of things to do up there.  I was more wondering if there was any step in prepping the railbed I was missing.

Not really. Now we have the trees cut, all there is to do is move the logs out of the way, get the contractor in there to repair the long ditch, and then we can do the work on the grade this summer.
