WW&F on Channel 6 on 10/16 @ 7 PM
« on: October 15, 2008, 01:01:34 PM »
WCSH Channel 6 will be showing the WW&F's work weekend on their 207 program on Thursday October 16 at 7 PM.  This was film taken on Saturday.  Repeats will probably also be shown during a weekend later on.

For those of you out of state, go to http://www.wcsh6.com and click on the 207 link.  They may put the piece on the website as streaming video (I don't know if they do that or not).

Here is a link to where their archived stories are. Check after 10/16 to view the WW&F. There is also an area for comments on the article.

To get an idea what the segment might look like, watch the one called "207 South Bristol Swing Bridge". It is about 4 minute long video and very picturesque.

Now available on line, a 4 minute and 22 second film. Wayne did an excellent job as "Media Relations". I'll have to watch it again on TV in a few minutes.

The video is very nice.  Wayne, Brian and Bob did a great job on commentary.

Also nice to hear Dana barking "To the edge of the car......lift!......down.......south!"

Warning:  the wcsh6 site videos are veeeeeeeery slow loading.

The commentary guys did a great job, and the videographer did as well.  He certainly got around.

I almost had a tear in my eye just watching the Channel 6 video and knowing I was not there.
What a wonderful effort everyone put in to make it happen.
It makes me proud to be a member of the WW&F family.

The interviewees all did a great job as did the camerman.  The video really shows what we are all about and it's a nice spot of free advertisement for the museum.

Pete,
You may have waited too long to view the video.  I suspect it has been pulled from their history.

There are older ones still on there, like the bridge one.

Anyway, I checked my history and this can currently be found at:
http://www.wcsh6.com/life/programming/local/207/story.aspx?storyid=94353&catid=50

I wonder if these are sorted by popularity tempered with time.  Maybe if we all hit the page it will sort back into the popular items and will keep the museum with a little PR.

Does anyone have any ideas on how we might obtain a copy (and permission to reproduce it)?
Thanks!

John,
I just went to the WCSH website and found contact information for the "207" part of their broadcast.  If someone were to contact them via this email address perhaps a copy or permission or both could be obtained. The address is: 207@wcsh6.com
