The aforementioned eBay seller kayakers1107 has just listed an original B&W negative of the combine Taconnet, I think taken outside the Wiscasset shop:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/312178452519

They also currently have 2 or 3 B&W negatives from the SR&RL for sale, including this one:

Once again from kayakers1107, what is purported to be the original black and white negative of the well-known scene of No. 9 being loaded onto the truck to leave Wiscasset in 1937:  https://www.ebay.com/itm/163155247575

I would venture to say that there are multiple copies of most, if not all of the old black and white photos of the WW&FRy in the Archives room.  I have spent work weekends working in the room, going through binders and writing captions for the photos and have seen most.  The only new photos I saw were of the Kennebec Central which I referred to Jeff, and one or two of the Monson.  The old color photos showing up are another matter.

Well this is one I'm sure I haven't seen before. What jumps out at me right away are the masts of the Hesper and Luther Little poking out directly behind the station roof, in almost perfect alignment with the ROW.

Have just found this on eBay, a vintage snapshot of a train passenger with a Wiscasset & Quebec RR car in the background. Search eBay for item 223114906641 to view.

Chris,

My guess is that this was our present coach.  It appears to be taken at Edaville.  The end of the other car may be one of the cabooses.  I haven't seen this one in the archives.

Two color slides of North Whitefield from 1939:

Also, from the same seller, a B&W negative showing a novel view (taken from the roof of a boxcar?) of the Wiscasset upper yard in 1935:

Interesting, you can see the two sets of ships masts in the background.  Also, the switch stands only have one head block.

Yes, just a long tie is all that was ever used. Different style of switch stand. Not as stable as the head blocks we use now.

Not sure if we care or not but someone is dumping a lot of steam whistles on ebay.  Looks like many different types.

Eric, did you perhaps post a link other than the one you intended? The list that appeared when I clicked on the link provided showed many many RR items, but either no whistles or maybe one or so.

you have to click on the "bells & Whistles" link along the top to get to Bells and Whistles.
