Easter photo freight
« on: April 11, 2009, 10:44:16 PM »
Last trip of the day was a freight train with a couple of planned photo run-bys at Humason Trestle and Cockeye Curve. The trip lasted about an hour, with 13 of us riding along in the caboose. THANKS to the crew, Patrick, Brian, Joe, Dana and Jason, for making this happen!

Hey Steve,

Great photo. Love the way the smoke turned out. Looks like that is from the second run by. Do you think you, or maybe somebody else can post the two photos that we tried recreating yesterday, with Dana, Brian, and myself, and the other photo with Dana, and me holding the oil can. Talk to you later.

Yes, a great photo. It replaced the December Victorian Christmas photo as my screen saver.

Gorgeous!
Can anyone post the original for comparison?
Is it in the Moody book?

OK. I'll post some links. They might not work right away so check back a little later if they don't. BEWARE!!! I forgot my tripod so have your motion sickness meds handy. I do not have a steady hand with a small camera.

Wow. Thanks for the second pic Steve. I am looking through all mine and my dads W, W, & F books to find the original pictures that we tried recreating. I will keep you guys posted on how the search goes.

Joe, this is the one I had in mind when we were shooting the crew shots. Pete is this what you were thinking of? Needing more "reenactors" comes to mind, but doesn't this give a better idea of the scale of our future No 11...versus No 10?! Going to need a bigger machine shop...

Ahh, yes! Quite the likeness, in spirit at least.  ;)
Perhaps I should bring my Navy peacoat and my Civil War kepie with me to the work weekend.
