I now know the cause of the wreck at Cockeyed Curve. The wreck was do to an arch bar truck failure, and the arch bar broke entering Cockeyed Curve, and caused six cars to tip over into the ditch. It doens't classify it as the Cockeyed Curve wreck, however, the book Two Feet to Tidewater states that it happened in the late fall of 1929, and the Cockeyed Curve wreck also occured late in the fall of 1929, so I am just going by a hunch.
