Time to build the Vassalboro...

Now that Vassalboro is famous (or perhaps infamous), maybe it's time to capitalize on the name ;-)

During the Spring Track Meet, there may be time for a field trip to inspect the Winslow branch, with a coffee break along the way.

Maybe it's time to open Two Steves Diner across Cross Road like we spoke of once - but with a twist.

We could set up the diner on the 126 and call it topless...

Better not tell Fred about this:  he has already been traumatized by the skinny dippers last summer...:)]

But seriously, folks, I think that Stewart's 'topless diner' idea is absolutely hilarious and we could do it for the picnic.
running joke, so to speak.  ::) I can see the TV clips now....
A couple of tables and chairs and a gas grill set up on #126, and Fred in an apron would do it and get the kind of media attention that we need. (or maybe not).

Vincent,

If you would like to get up to date on duck jokes (and who wouldn't), I recommend using the search feature of this website and enter two words: Jason and duck.

When I was in school, one of the sorotiries held a 'topless' car wash.  Loads of people showed up, and they washed all but the tops of the cars.  It was a riot, they you paid in front of the house, and cars were washed behind.  Several of my friends went running out there, paid a bunch, and came back dissapointed.

On a differant note, been to Vasselboro 3 times in the last 3 weeks, even before the place was open, directions included going past it and turning, so it is already a part of local culture.  The place was mobed sat. when I went by.

Maybe if the original WW&F had shown a little more initiative and a lot more skin, it would still be in business as a passenger carrier and rolling coffee shop.
