It’s Carlos but James gets a pass because he wrote this after a 4:45 hour long board meeting. Anyone interested in a Sargeant at Arms position?

Do we have to show the Sargeant at Arms a pledge pin?

Work completed Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 September 2020.

Tuesday:
*  ToM switch work, The crew installed 2 point switches completing adjustments and spiking in the switch stand. Final spiking of the switch plates began.
*  Shop work continued on several projects to include making some corrections and adjustments on the new vacuum.
*  Gift shop work as well is on going and preparation for this weekends operation.
*  Campus clean up and trash run.

Note:  13 volunteers

Wednesday:
*  ToM switch work... Completed.
The new switches have been completed and all rails spiked in. A small load of ballast was brought in to help finish the project. The new switches work well, stiff but lock in well with the proper technique. Our brakemen will no longer have to fight the stub switch. For those who don’t know, Fred can still swing a maul and spike rail!
*  “Start” was up and spiked rail plus surveyed what he needs to complete the switch targets.
*  Preparations have started for the Electric building’s completion.
*  Yard switching completed the day.

Note:  Crews/volunteers should check the notice board when signing in.
Sorry I forgot to take photo's, maybe someone else did.

Thanks Steve.  Though hardly surprised Fred can still swing a spike maul.  His work has put many of us to shame over the years!
What–me worry?

THANK YOU!!

(On behalf of ALL the train crew; not just brakemen - as that switch often required assistance from the entire train's crew.)

Leanne and I made a guest appearance today as well, and though she isn't quite old enough to swing a hammer, she did a good job laying out spikes for us to drive.

If more TOM pics show up, you MUST include Leanne the Spike Tyke!! ;D

What will the electric building look like?
Will youz finish the Alna performance building roof this weekend?

Sounds like you almost got a complete train wth air brakes working!
Bet the brakemen are smiling.

Fantastic!

What will the electric building look like?

It will be the shape of a lighting bolt.  The most challenging building we've ever built.
