We checked cross level before lifting and found the worst at 1-1/4”.  That translates to about 2-1/2” at the end of the tie when leveled.  The entire stretch was out of level ranging from 1/2” to 1-1/4”.

See ya

Just a reminder in case there's more tamping time....
The turntable lead is leaning to the west.
Super elevated for the run to the TT..

Just kidding.

I have got an improvement in mind for that that I discussed with Jason this summer. It will make the whole area better. It involves a catch basin to act as a collector for the pipes from the shop, TT and the pipe under the roundhouse leads, and sends it out in one pipe. We can then backfill, eliminating some of that nasty slope.

Sounds like progress to me.
Hope this drainage fix gets rid of the nuisance puddling between the shop and platform, maybe by Cross Road.
