Leaving the main roof supports in place, will the car barn's east wall be removed as part of the building's coming display space?

Yes, eventually the "bump out" will be moved north a ways.  Not the whole length because it will interfere with track and the road and crossing to the track shed.  Phase II, which depends on funding.

Phase II will also include, I think, ventilation cupolas at the top of the building, and reclaim surface for the rest of the barn.  We'll probably need to relay the third bay track.   Eventually we'll want power in there too, I think, but that might be Phase III.

The snow and ice melted off the building so were back at work.

Very fine-looking work.
Too bad track 1? elevation needs re-set.

Track/Bay 3 needs some work.

Track/Bays 2 and 1 (1 is closest to the bump out/photographer) are temporarily attached to the existing barn. Additional work in firming up these joints will come in the Spring after the ground thaws.

The rest of the roof purlions went on today and the back wall of the bump out was framed in and sheathed.

Making progress while the snow melts.

Those boards on the north wall of the bump-out look familiar. I think I may have helped remove some of them from the former south end wall.

Carry on.

Wow, we can't even get the roof on, and it's filling with rolling stock already!

Happens with every building we build, including the garage.
