FWIW I like to refer to the "woods track" as the Ramp Track since we have only one ramp and in case no one has noticed;  the whole RR is in the woods!  LOL  :o

MMM work this week is shifted to Wednesday Thursday, due to rain today.  Most regular crew has shifted to that schedule.  Anyone showing up today (because of my late post), do not fear!  We will keep you busy.

I do apologize for the tardiness of this post.

Who is ready for official track footage numbers? MP 7 to the north end of track is just over 4,100 feet. MP 8 is 40' south of the south end of the bridge. (Stake is marking it for now)

End of track to the bridge is 1220' and from the bridge to the driveway entrance is another 1100'. Exact track building length is to be determined but will be somewhere around 2,000'.

Does anyone have the Lat Lon of the end of track. I’d like to get the pin on Google Earth as close as possible.  Thanks.
I took two measurements with a GPS on 10/20/18. The location the of end of serviceable track (one rail staggered doesn't count) is:

44.10073506 N, 69.62011440 W

Note that a handheld GPS is only accurate to within 50-100 ft. The above coordinates are an average between two readings that are about 20 ft apart. They also agree with prior measurements before the track was completed.

Apparently Ed doesn't like monorails.

Thanks for the track measurement information.  Many passengers are interested in those details and frequently ask.
What–me worry?

MP 7 is 2.172 miles from EOT at Sheepscot.  Adding 4100 feet puts us at 2.948 miles of track.  We currently have 2.531 miles of passenger track (measured to the north switch at ToM).

Anticipated work for Saturday Oct 27.  Remember this is the first day of deer hunting season, so wear blaze orange!  Alna Volunteer Fire Department has a Hunter's Breakfast from 4:30 - 9 maybe not, I haven't see any notices about one.

* Mountain Extension clean up day.  However the weather forecast for the day is fairly nasty, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is postponed.
* Machine shop/wood shop.
* Finish the Percival stairs.

Change of plans. No steam available, so we have no choice except cancel. Hope everyone planning to attend gets this short notice.

Mike,

Do you have a new date in mind?  I can make November 3rd, then will be working the following two Saturdays, then we're into Thanksgiving.
What–me worry?
