Rain off and on today proved to make things interesting. The tractor was repaired and used to move 10 rails for the Fall Wprk Weekend giving us 30 out of 100. Some rail was cropped and drilled as well. Thank you rail crew for the help, every stick counts.

Bridge site continued as well, and the wet clay makes for some fun walking. All of the piles are now in, and things are "piling" up.

A delivery of stone to the punch point this morning by our Contractor Jeff should be enough to backfill the wall this weekend.

I am looking for some help first thing Saturday. I have blocks to load at Sheepscot first thing, but that can be by myself. What I need is a few extra hands at TOM once the blocks are unloaded. I want to move one (or both or none, depending on time) culvert section to the end of track. I can then pluck it off the car with Clancy..
So, no later than 8a departure. Would like sooner if enough show up.. I promise some ice cream as a reward..

Mike, I'm willing to help as long as you don't think my being there last Saturday jinxed all that you were trying to do.

I expect to be available to brake/conduct for James, as long as we're back to Sheepscot by 9.30.   Should be at Sheepscot and available no later than 7.30 a.m.
What–me worry?

We will try then. My goal is to have the flat returned empty to Sheepscot, no matter what we get done. But, we will worry about that when the time comes. 9:30 is a good end time.

The only thing I can report on with any certainty for work done is what Mike did: he, myself, and Brendan emptied the flatcar, got the 2 culverts to the end of track, and set in several of the 1 ton blocks and 3 of the top blocks at the pinch point.

I did hear that the noon train was sold out today - fabulous!  I saw it leave but didn't think it was totally full.  3 full sized coaches.

Removed rest of old ramp porch so posts can be placed in ground to rebuild smaller porch and stairs for that entrance on FWW,

Hey everyone, I am hoping to be at the museum Tuesday or Wednesday this week to move rail again. This will entail a tractor or fork lift operator and at least one other person. We need to get at least 30 rails to stay ahead, and with the tractor will be a full 6 hour day of moving rail. My appologies ahead of time. If we can get a fork lift operator it will go much faster since we can pull 5 rails at once instead of one at a time. In the event we get the full 30 rails ready, that will give us a total of 60 out of 100. And will put us one day ahead of schedule. Which is great, because we still need to get joint bars ready.

Joe,

You and the gang are doing a great job getting ready for the FWW.  I know things will go a lot smoother since you will have all the materials staged and ready for the talented and industrious WW&F FWW Gandy Dancers team to head 'Down the Mountain'.

Fred...tnx for update on Percival house's new, coming front porch. Old hc ramp I'm sure was useful but looked particularly awful.
