Interesting last pic shows cribbing-raised track, either as an approach to a coming WW&F/Cross Road Overpass, or an aid in transferring rail equipment to/from highway transport.

This will serve as a ramp to help load and or unload rail equipment such as Monson #3 going back to Phillips.

Thought so.
Similar setups exist on Durango & Silverton, Cumbres & Toltec, Silverton Northern.
Will this be permanent?

Until we have the woods track figured out, I would consider this temporary. But even our temporary stuff has a way of being semi-permanent

I was wondering how the needed, extended woods transfer track would blend in,  being that it goes by the parking lot's  adjacent storage area and new container access.   ???

Work done on Saturday May 13:

* At Friday night's board meeting we officially moved our meetings to second Saturdays starting at 4.  This way several of the non-retired folk that travel a ways will be able to make meetings easier.
* Equipment car 1015: More yellow paint.  Mostly all painted with the first coat.  Plus Mike did some welding on it first.  Meanwhile Fred supervised the cutting of some pipe for sleeves for the wheels.
* Boxcar 67: Zack mostly finished the interior boards that go in below the belt rail.
* Jason was researching and printing out the needed DEP applications.

Beautiful.  I love the bright yellow on both of Mike's cars.  Should we consider painting ALL MOW equipment in a uniform yellow color with black lettering?  It would make striking appearance in the yards.

The crane was this same color, as the other 2 work flats. Faded some though.

Mike,

1015 is coming along nicely. How much longer until it's rail worthy?

Hoping this week to grab what lumber is needed for the deck, and finish painting Saturday. And as soon as the wheels are done, they can be mounted and it should be done. A couple of weeks would be my guess. Hoping the car is complete minus axles after Saturday

Re painting, saw the recent picture of the crane.  How about the tamper?  Or is there anything else I'm not familiar with?

The tamper wound up red because that is the Paint that was on hand. I would not expect a repaint of that anytime soon.

Thinking about it more though, we have yellow for non motorized, and red for things with a motor on them Tamper and RowMow 1. Black is the color of the Tipcars. So there is a pattern, if you make one.
