We should be getting stone on Friday.  If there's a willing Saturday crew, it'd be great to dress the main around MP 7 where the lifting happened.

Hopefully, beginning in June, a Saturday crew can run stone to some specific areas, so the weekday crew can lift and tamp once or twice a month.

See ya

It would be nice to lign the track before tapping as well. There are many spots where the train "hunts". Especially MP7 to A.C. Problem is trying to find 10 willing guys to lign.

Work done on Saturday May 20:

* Boxcar 67: The exterior wall sheathing is done, and interior woodwork below the belt rail.
* Equipment work car 1015: As of 3 when I left, most of the boards were on.  I expect they all were put on.  No thanks to the drill bits which kept giving out on the hard steel.  We kept playing musical drill bits.  And kept sending Fred to Ames Supply.
* Passenger trains: I ran the first "second class" train since the new timetable went into effect, using the railcar.

Unfortunately there was no stone that had been delivered, so we were unable to put out any.

Also from Saturday:

* Model AA truck - The truck was fired up (it always starts) the engine warmed up and the oil changed.  Other things, radiator, etc. were checked so the truck will be ready for service this Summer.

* Storage container - More work was done on the access road with some material added and grade work done.

* Car barn - More paint was ordered since we went through 5 gallons during the week.  The building will take another 10 gallons or so.

Forgot to mention, Tuesday the culverts are expected to arrive. Late morning to mid-day. I probably won't know an exact time until that morning.

Mike...IIRC, the pipes are 48 inchers, biggies. Will two go in the first washout, or one each into both washouts?

Paul, I think the two pipes are connected end to end in the first wash out.

Two longer ones for the first washout, and then there is another washout with similar flow further North we need the second ones for. There was a savings in shipping both locations together.

The Culverts are coming! The Culverts are coming!
Wait...they arrived.  :D
So with FOUR big culvert sections that need parking, and 3's coming sendoff, no wonder all the prep work at the lot.
