1014 is still not ready. Painting, but not able to devote enough time to complete it this week. Should finish it early next week, if all goes well. Worked on it every night this week, but am marking off tonight so I can do my membership duties...

Is the coupler hole big enough?

And, assuming it arrives in Sheepscot this weekend, can we get it dirty?

It looks great but...  can you make it 3/8" wider?

Mike...looks like 1014 just rolled off the Caterpillar line!
Excellent.

Bill, like the crane, if the paint doesn't get scratched, I'd feel offended. Intended for use, not for show. Coupler hole is 3/4. Biggest bit I dared to use in the drill press at the shop.

So why haven't you put 2-foot spaced grooves in your shop floor yet?

Lol. James, I was joking with Dad a week ago telling him he should put some 2×4 rails in place on his floor to build tge cars on.

Just getting caught up on forum posts due to the work weekend.  I saw 1014 on the run-through track this past weekend -- a very nice job.  That car will see some good heavy use over the years to come, I'm sure.
