Well, people could reply here or we can ask everyone Saturday morning how many days they want to work. 
I'll work Saturday, Sunday afternoon and Monday, weather will be good for cutting.

I'd say, lets take a pole, on how many people are coming but I'm afraid there have been to many poles taken lately.

Watch what you say about Polish people! This Pole will be there on Saturday and may be convinced to stop by Sunday afternoon.
Gail volunteered to do lunch again and may have a few surprises in store.

Zack is doing the construction of the CB doors and he may be around on Monday, we can check with him on Saturday.  Not sure if he wants to finish the CB doors before building the section house door.

Chain saws are sharp, everything ready for tree cutting. Train departs at 8:00 sharp.

Work done on Saturday Feb 13:

* Car barn: Zack was finishing up on the first set of doors.  He was putting on the hinges toward the end of the day.  He plans to put them up before starting the next set.
* Tree cutting: Lots of cutting and burning on the north end of the clearing, rather less on the south end.  Lots of little trees on the north end made for lots of cutting and not a lot of progress.  On the south end they had trouble getting the fire going.
* Kubota: Mike was prepping to get the crank shaft inside the shell.  I helped him get it on the wheeled engine holder.
* March photo special: Jason was trying to print out the guide and ID cards, and getting a bit frustrated.  I helped him out on some of it.
* Archives: Linda has been there every day of the week working on the archives, making good progress in getting some organization.
* Car 67: Greg was working at getting nuts off of bolts from the boxcar so that ladder rungs and hand holds would be freed up.

South end was more like a camp fire by lunch.

Also, someone was clowning around on a snowmobile at Alna Center recently. They came from the East, and instead of riding the marked trail down the road they rode in the field north of the road, jumping the little berms there. Well, when Mr. (or Mrs.) snowmobile made it to the tracks, they fetched up. Hard. They were going fast enough to clear the ditch in the foreground (notice no tracks), but when they hit the rail, they stopped abruptly. Notice the dark chunks of ice and ballast on the bank of the ditch for the run around track between Dave and James. No damage to our tracks, but going from 20 to 0 on a snowmobile is no fun, and the machine had to have been damaged in the process.

Work done on Sunday, Feb. 14th -

* Tools - Chain saws were sharpened and readied for Monday's clearing crew.  Thanks Fred!

* Work train - Fresh kindling was loaded onto caboose 320 along with more large pieces of cardboard.  The cardboard makes a nice pad to build a fire on top of the snow so the fire keeps going better to start the limbs and brush.

* Kitchen - Additional food was brought for Monday's crew.
