We can probably burn brush if we have a permit, if not, I guess we could help Zack with his work.

We're getting plenty of snow today (6 or so inches), so I guess there won't be any trouble with burning tomorrow.

It's flying...moved the continental this morning to allow access to the lathe. Brought the wooden work flat down from the car barn to set it on before the snow got deep. That also flew over 126 and 67 to land in bay 2 between the 126/67 combo and the wheels for 67

Kubota block was cleaned of all remnants of gaskets today, and an initial cleaning was done. I was able to remove a lot of oil, grease and metal shavings from the honing. More cleaning tomorrow

Plowing in the morning. I have been tasked with taking charge of that. Plow will be placed on the south end of the 52 for the return trip to Sheepscot, which will be lunch time. Yard will then be plowed and plow placed back on the front, in time to return north after lunch.

Bet you are itching for that turn table for the plowing :)
Of course you may have to clean the pit first. :(

Work done on Saturday Feb 6:

* ToM cutting - not much need to plow except for the crossings.  Everything was pretty wet and nothing wanted to burn.  Underfoot was swampy too.  We did get a chunk of area cut.  After lunch we cut a bit more and then let everything burn down.
* Car barn - Lumber for doors arrived, so Zack started working on the doors.
* Vacuum brakes - Jason, Joe and Brendan were working on the vacuum train brake concept project.
* Plowing - our regular driveway plower was upcountry and was surprised to learn of the snow.  So Mike got out the tractor and rough plowed the upper lot and later the driveway.

Also, Kubota block and parts were pressure washed, new gas shut off installed on the continental, and carberator removed and brought to the shops of ROWMOW 1 for cleaning. Oil filter was also checked, appeared ok. I am hoping to make some noise with it very soon.

Today, the Lincoln Academy students did more cleaning on the second floor of the shop and the spare cardboard and kindling was put in the caboose for Saturday.

I hope we have lots of people coming to the winter work weekend, maybe we can clear land up to the woodchuck road, about 80 Ft.  Wear lots of warm clothing as it is going to be cold until we get a good fire going. I'm going to put wedges an a sledge in the caboose so we can cut down a couple of pines that are leaning toward the tracks.
