Edaville owner to purchase the Conway Scenic Railroad
« on: October 02, 2015, 11:05:58 PM »
From the Conway Daily Sun:

http://www.conwaydailysun.com/newsx/local-news/122736-sale-agreement-for-conway-scenic-rr-confirmed

"CONWAY — A prospective buyer of the Conway Scenic Railroad has confirmed that he's entered into an agreement to buy the popular tourist attraction from Russ Seybold.

"'The railroad has not been sold yet, but it is under agreement,' Jon Mark Delli Priscoli of Marion, Mass., told The Conway Daily Sun Thursday.

"Delli Priscoli, 59, is the operating partner of the Edaville Railroad in Carver, Mass. In addition, he operates two other railroads: the Grafton Upton RR, a freight hauler in Massachusetts, and the Seaview Railroad of Davisville, R.I."

Priscoli's business partner in the purchase is Al Harper who owns the Durango and Silverton RR.

Many will have their own opinion of this, but fact is John is a business man, and he must see some value in Conway Scenic. I can't wait to see what else comes of this.

Per Gen. Mgr. Paul Hallett of the Conway Scenic, the "deal" is off.  No "Thomasland North" for now.

According to an article on TRAINS News-wire, Al Harper (Priscoli's business partner), is negotiating to purchase the Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad.  This may have influenced the cancellation of the Conway Scenic deal.

Paul is the Operations Manager, Russ is still the current GM, but yes, the deal fell through.
